Cannes Film Festival

Supporting her man: Jessica Biel wore a striking Marchesa dress to support her husband Justin Timber lake

Jessica Biel was GORGEOUS for the Cannes Film Festival this year, in a Marchesa gown. The feathers at the bottom hem are so ethereal. I will forever dream of this gown. I also love her outfit because of her necklace because I have a really similar one in gold .....

The necklace is really versatile; it can be worn as a necklace, belt, or bracelet. I found it at this vintage bazaar hosted by my school.

Then my 2nd favorite look of the night:

Cara Delevingne is the hottest person on Earth, I'm fairly certain. I could find heaven in those perfect eyebrows.

what i want for summer

Warmer weather has been frequenting Boston more consistently these past few days (aside from torrential downpours, but it wouldn't be Boston otherwise). With summer in mind, there are two fads that have been on my mind: Hawaiian palm tree prints & jean overalls. Set aside your misgivings about the combination of the two and be inspired..

The palm tree print adds a bright pop of color and is a fresh sight for sore-eyes from the onslaught of floral patterns that frequent the summer scene. Also, palm trees are synonymous with paradise and relaxation aka summer time.

The jean overall represents comfort and durability with its jean texture. Perfect when pairing a baggy overall with fitted crop tops or lacy bandeaus. It's no-hassle but adds a breathe of fresh air to an outfit. It's basically a jumper, but now you have the endless options of choosing the tops you can pair with the jean material (which is anything because jeans match everything!) I plan on finding my dream overall in the bins of Good Will.

May you find yourself on the road towards the prefect summer outfit.

hint of summer

I recently went to Washington, D.C. for the weekend because yknow, I finally make more than minimal wage so these things can happen. Since I was only there for two days and one night, I tried to pack minimally, but still stay fashionably cute and what-not. Here's what I packed: two body suits, one sheer top, cropped leather jacket, fitted black skirt, white tennis skirt, cropped white jeans, pair of ballet flats, and pair of wedges. (Now in retrospect, that list looks rather long, but I swear it all fit in my backpack!). I left for D.C. after work on Friday, so essentially what I wore to work on Friday also had to work with what I packed. Then I continued to stay into Boston until Tuesday. So I essentially wasn't home Friday to Tuesday - my packed items lasted me 5 days! It was crazy, but it worked out. Here's what I wore one of those days:

I really liked wearing the floral bodysuit under the sheer top.

I found the really awesome necklace I'm wearing in the top two photos at a flea market in D.C. (called Eastern Market). I also found these hand-made earrings, too! I don't buy jewelry often since I hardly wear jewelry on a daily basis (rather spend my paycheck on shoes/clothes), but I felt persuaded by all these people in my face, selling me their over-priced artisan crafts. Also found this huge jar of fig preserves for SIX BUCKS. Oh god, I'm going to have a charcuterie party soon....
